What is Hydro Excavation? Hydro excavation is a non-destructive, safe practice of removing soil by means of the simultaneous use of pressurized water and industrial vacuum. While highly pressurized water is shot out of a nozzle to break up the soil surrounding underground utilities the industrial vacuum conveys the soil into a debris tank located on the hydrovac truck.
The Hydro excavation water nozzle allows our technicians to have surgical capabilities when removing soil around valuable underground utilities. Norcal's Hydrovac excavators utilize this technology to supplement contractor’s capability to maneuver underground by providing visual confirmation of what lies below.
Daylighting, Slot Trenching, Piling Holes, Pole Holes and Debris Removal are more common applications. Any size large or small, any ground frozen or dry can be removed safely and efficiently.
